The West Side Credit Connection, LLC offers landlords a comprehensive suite of credit checks, criminal searches, and eviction searches to help make an informed decision when leasing a vacancy. We discourage landlords from accepting copies of credit reports directly from applicants; digital imaging software has made fraud an everyday occurrence in our industry.
GET COMPLIANT AS EARLY IN THE VACANCY PROCESS AS POSSIBLE! DON’T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE.
Before the West Side Credit Connection, LLC is allowed to release credit check information to you, you must first download, print and return the one-time Registration and Compliance Packet required under federal law and credit bureau procedures. We take the handling of consumer credit information very seriously. We adhere to the strict guidelines and procedures laid out by the credit bureaus in order to ensure that all landlords, big and small, have continued access to the tools necessary to operate their business, both now and in the future. Getting compliant will be of value to you for as long as you are in the rental housing business. The Registration and Compliance process takes between 3 and 4 business days to complete; the process can be delayed by incomplete or inaccurate information in your packet. Please read the Compliance Packet thoroughly.

The Tenant Screening Department (TSD) Process
- The LANDLORD faxes over a Rental Application signed
by the prospective tenant to (888) 938-1116 with a cover sheet indicating (1)
the landlord’s name and (2) which screening products
are requested (credit report, eviction search, or criminal search),
(3) a contact phone number for the landlord, and (4) an email address or fax number to send the results to.
- The TSD will process the requests in the order received and call the landlord back if there is a problem.
- The TSD will then FAX or EMAIL the landlord with results once we run the check(s).
If a charge is associated with the tenant screening (eviction search, criminal search, or non-member credit check) please let us know how you want to pay for it. Options include (1) landlord credit card on file, (2) credit card on Tenant Screening Application, (3) credit card over the phone, and (4) credit card or cash in any of our 7 offices.
If we receive applications before 3:00 pm, landlords will receive the results before the department closes that day. We ask that landlords PLEASE wait until 3:30 pm to call about applications submitted before 3:00 pm, or wait until the following day to call on applications sent after 3:00 pm.
